We create happy, healthy brands.
Health and wellness brand specialists.
Grow your business with the right branding. We’re experts in making health, wellness and lifestyle brands stand out in a crowded marketplace, so you can charge your worth and reach more people.
You started your business to help people live a better life…
- Communicate your difference (and own your uniqueness)
- Find new customers (and keep them coming back)
- Look like a professional but approachable business (is that even possible?)
We get it – you’re in business to follow your passion, not spend your days on design and website tech. That’s why we specialise in branding for the health and wellness industry, so you can work with a creative agency that deeply understands what you do.
Our clever design team knows what motivates your customers to buy, plus the latest changes in the healthy lifestyle market. So while we are busy nurturing your brand, you can focus on what you do best.
What brought you here today?
You want a stand-out brand identity
You’d like to build a new website (with no tech speak)
You need some beautifully crafted print designs
Are you more of the DIY type?
Want to truly understand what goes into exceptional business branding?
We believe that killer branding shouldn’t just be for the big-wigs in town. We also understand that most small business owners aren’t in the position to invest a large amount of money before they have clients coming in the door.
That’s why we’ve developed Upper Hand Brand – a self-directed course that will help you craft your own authentic brand and logo, while receiving hands-on support from design experts (that’s us 😉).
If you’re just starting out, in the early years of business, or simply looking for a budget-friendly way of overhauling your brand, Upper Hand Brand is for you.
You’ll get to craft a brand identity and logo that you’re not only super proud of, but will give you the upper hand over your competitors. The best part? You don’t need any design experience to get started!
Hi, we’re Kristy and Bec.
And our business story starts with Kristy laying in an MRI machine, needing to put her health first. You see, a bad back injury meant she couldn’t keep commuting to her office job (and wfh was not a thing 14 years ago). At the same time, Bec was also plotting her next move… so we combined our design skills to start Design Bug.
Today we’re a small but mighty team partnering with health, wellness and lifestyle brands, so they can flourish in a competitive market. And because we’re sisters, we treat you like family.

It's really made us a lot more solid in the dietitian space locally in Newcastle.
“As individuals, Design Bug are just so down to earth and easy to get along with, but on the business front they’re so professional.
We launched our website with the new branding just over 12 months ago, and we get a lot more traction on social media. We even get people commenting on how much they love the branding and that it’s noticeable when they see it.
People are used to seeing that logo and the colours now that they associate those with the business. So it’s really made us a lot more solid in the dietitian space locally in Newcastle.”
