We created this course with the eager âI just want to launchâ start-up in mind. Itâs self-paced and you have full access to all of the content immediately after signing up. If you carved out a week of time, made quick decisions and didnât have too much self-doubt – you could have your Upper Hand Brand ready to launch within a week. If you would like to take your time and make use of the extra support you have 6 months access to all the material.
The course is broken down into bite-sized information and videos so it is easy to slot into hours outside your current 9-5 or baby naps if required!
Youâll be creating your logo in Adobe Illustrator. You wonât need this software until you reach Module 3 (and it comes with a free trial) – so unless you already have a subscription, donât download it until this point!Â
You WILL NOT need to keep your Adobe Illustrator subscription once you have finished the course.
We also utilise Canva Templates to help layout your mood boards before we get into designing in Illustrator. You will only need a free Canva account for these elements of the course. If you’d like to be able to take advantage of our BONUS Brand Book Template than we suggest upgrading to a Paid Canva account so you can setup your kit with your new brand guidelines so you can utilise this tool for future marketing once your branding is complete.

These systems are designed to whip up a logo quickly and seemingly pain-free. But do you know how many others chose the same template as you? You will never know how many businesses are starting out with the exact same logo and “branding” as you.
The 3 main reasons why we suggest you avoid using templates or logo-creator systems –

đ ââď¸ Unlike speciality design programs, there’s a limit on the file types created in Canva or VistaCreate. This means that when it comes to printing your logo in large format, the quality is compromised. And while you might not be considering signage just yet, we donât want anything to get in your way when it comes to promoting your brand. And it IS going to cost you when it comes to having a designer recreate your logo so you can actually use it properly.
đ ââď¸ Jumping straight into design without considering any brand strategy means you’ve left a lot of money on the table. If you are designing on looks alone without understanding your customers needs, wants and pain-points then you are always going to miss the mark with any marketing you create.
