Website Design & Development

Website design and development

Health and wellness websites that earn their keep after launch.

WordPress builds for GPs, allied health, wellness clinics, and large health organisations across Australia.

Your website's real job starts on launch day.

Bringing in the right enquiries. Holding up across the next five years. Easy for your team to update content without calling us back.

That’s what we build.

What we design

WordPress websites, end to end. Strategy, structure, design and build, training.

We design and build WordPress websites for health and wellness businesses and organisations across Australia. Custom-themed, accessibility-first, and shaped around the way your patients and clients actually behave. Booking platform integrations included where you need them. Cliniko, Halaxy, HotDoc, Mindbody, and others.

Solo and multi-practitioner clinic websites

Single-practitioner GPs, dental practices, physiotherapy and podiatry clinics. Multi-practitioner allied health practices. Built around services, practitioner profiles, and the booking flow that gets patients from page to appointment.

Wellness brand and
e-commerce sites

Pilates and movement studios, wellness product brands, supplement and wellness retailers. Built around classes, memberships, online product sales, and the customer relationship after the first transaction.

Multi-site and group practice sites

Clinic groups with multiple sites. Multi-disciplinary health hubs. Built around location finder logic, sub-brands, and centralised content management so your in-house team can update everywhere from one place.

Health organisation and institutional sites

Foundations, research institutes, peak bodies, and government-funded health bodies. Built around stakeholder communications, donor flows, resource libraries, and accessibility compliance.

Why us?

(and not a generalist web designer)

There’s a difference between building a website and designing one that earns its keep. We’re the studio that does the second.
A website is only as useful as what it does after the launch party. A site that takes weeks for your team to update, doesn’t load on a regional GP’s phone, or fails to bring in the right enquiries has lost its purpose by month three. We design for the next five years, not the launch reveal.
The people.
Same studio across every phase. Strategy, design, build, content load, training. The Kristy and Bec who take your enquiry are the Kristy and Bec on launch day. No external developer handoff. No offshore agency in the build phase. When something needs to change post-launch, you talk to one of us.
The build.
WordPress, custom-themed, not template-stretched. Every site we build meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility as the baseline. SEO foundations laid into the structure, not bolted on. Booking platform integrations done properly. Code your team can audit if you ever change studios.
The conversion.
We design for what your visitors actually do, not what they should do. Discovery before design. We map the client journey first, then the page structure, then the visual design. The result is a site that bookings move through, not one that just sits behind your business card.

Three ways to work with us

We work in three tiers, scoped for where you are.
Website projects with Design Bug start from $4,500 + GST. Final scope and investment confirmed after we’ve had a chance to talk.

The Single

A one-page site for a solo practitioner or a new business launching with focused content. Sometimes one page is enough.

The Standard

A seven-page site for an established clinic or practice. The default for most health and wellness businesses we work with.

The Signature

A ten-page site with a blog foundation. For practices where depth matters. Multiple services, multiple practitioners, richer content, and a client journey that needs more room.

Each tier comes with fixed scope, a fixed timeline, and full discovery before we start.

If your project doesn’t fit a tier (bigger, more functional, or stranger in some interesting way), we can also custom-scope. Tell us what you’re trying to build when we talk and we’ll work out the right shape together.

Full inclusions, page list, and investment confirmed in your proposal, after we’ve had a chance to talk it through.

“They made the process of creating our new website feel effortless and fun!”

Since having our new website up and running, the customer journey is so much smoother and the copy is perfectly informative and concise. This has already helped us convert more followers and website visitors to clients and customers, which was our number one goal! Of course, we can’t forget how aesthetically pleasing and stunning our new website looks, which is great for our brand.”

FAQ

We mostly use and recommend WordPress, because it’s flexible, it can expand with your business and it’s the best platform for SEO (with the right SEO strategy, of course, and we know people who can help with this if you need).

Don’t know the first thing about website platforms? Just ask us about them – we’re here to guide you through the whole process!

The short answer is no. That might feel like a bummer, but think of it this way: your website is one of your most important business assets, so you need to look after it (just like you look after your own health). We recommend your website is regularly updated to the latest WordPress software, themes and plugins to give you the highest security measures. That’s why we recommended a monthly hosting and maintenance package to keep you up to date (this is far more cost-effective than fixing a broken website or losing revenue from your website being down). Before you launch your new website, we’ll offer our best recommendations of companies we use to support you here.

Long term, website technology will evolve – there’s no escaping that. That’s why we suggest revisiting your website every 2–3 years to see if enhancements can be made. This might involve rebuilding elements of the website to increase performance and speed, or upgrading to newly released technology. And honestly, chances are your business will change in the next 2–3 years and you’ll be ready for a refresh at this time anyway! You get an upfront quote for any changes, so you know what to expect.

No, we don’t because websites aren’t a one-size-fits-all project. That’s why we’ll never force you into a package that isn’t right for your budget or goals. From the amount of content you need to functionality, your website will be individually scoped and quoted based on what you want to achieve. You get your quote upfront, so you know exactly what your project will cost (fill out a brief here to get the quoting process started).

If you’re ready to talk, send us a message. We’ll look at what you have, what you need, and what makes sense.
